Overall Objective: The overall long-term objective is socio-economic empowerment of communities in 16 districts through sustainable forest management and conservation and enhanced national capacity to manage and develop the forest sector in collaboration with stakeholders.
Project Purpose: The purpose of the intervention is that pro-poor Community-Based Forest Management (CBFM) is operating in 16 districts with at least 20 communities commercializing timber, honey and other forest products from sustainably managed forests.
